WALLACE ARTHUR HERENDEEN age 86, formerly of 30 Tee Court, Roxboro, NC, died Monday morning March 4, 2013 at the Cantebury House.
Mr. Herendeen was a native of Lake County, OH, husband of 60 years to the late Marian Kleinhenz Herendeen and son of the late Wallace Atwood and Daisy Moss Herendeen. He was retired from Eaton Corp. after 38 years of service, was a member of Saints Mary & Edward Catholic Church and was a veteran of the US Navy where he served during WWII.
Surviving are two sons, Joseph A. Herendeen & wife, Susan of High Point, NC, David F. Herendeen & wife, Nikii of Durham, NC, three daughters, Barbara H. Szaibel & husband, Ron of Cleveland, OH, Nancy H. Flick & husband, Brad of Kittanning, PA, Donna H. Reynolds of Macedonia, OH, two sisters, Marjorie Dunmire, Mary Anne Buckbee, both of Cleveland, OH, eighteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Mr. Herendeen is preceded in death by a brother, Jack Herendeen.
Funeral mass will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Saints Mary & Edward Catholic Church by Father William Rodriguez. Interment will follow in the Burchwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 till 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at Strickland Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Dixon, Allan Herendeen, Gregory Herendeen, Paul Herendeen, Phillip Herendeen, Stephen Herendeen, Neil Kirk, Christopher Szaibel and Justin Welton.
